Lesley Staite's Quest for her G.I. father, John Chermack-Powell (1)

I was born April 1945, in Worcester, England,  the 'product'  of a liason between a local girl and one of the thousand  of American solders that were based in the areas around my home town during WW II. My mother and her American boyfriend  never married, and he never came back for us after moving out to fight 'at the front'  in late October of '44

In the year 2000, at the age of 60, I decided to search for my roots; who was my father, what was my heritage, was he still alive, would he or his family welcome my appearance, but most important of all,  what medical background information should I and my children know about?
